There are some includes in the code yo need to change and as far as I can remeber it already checks for security.

Maybe you should use a dedicated feed for Postcalendar - if you have a little coding experience its quite easy to find the Postcalendar parts of xbackends.

Re: xBackends.php v. 2.8 released

Re: xBackends.php v. 2.8 released

Hello Franz,
I would like your opinion on the following:
our site is a school website www.pleiaden.nl. We use Postcalendar. And we use xbackends.
At the moment there is a security group called teachers that will see additional events in the Postcalendar.
Parents will see all general events in the postcalender called Global events.
users belonging to the teachers group see those events too, and some the teachers events like staff meetings.

The Postnuke security model is using a cookie for the session info. But I'm looking for a seperate xbackends (a special url that I won't publish on the website) that will show the Postcalendar feed as if a user is logged in as part of the security group "teachers".

This way I can create an info screen for the staff that shows all events both normal and teachers using Javascript to html.

So my questions to you are:
-Can xbackends be adapted to be logged in as member of a specific security group?
-Can it coexist (f.i. in a special directory on the webserver) I may use .htaccess to secure it from the net and only allow intranet.

Thanks for xbackends!

G.C. www.pleiaden.nl

Re: Coverflow eller Google liste?

Search.com er - indrømmet - rent grafisk ok.
